Hello everyone! As I told you in my last blogs, I´m studying public administration. If you don't know about the career, I´ll tell you about it. In fact, today I'm going to talk about the curriculum, the workload and length of studies, the teaching methods, among others. Firstly, the subjects we have to study are very varied. We study subjects such as law, maths, Chilean history or financial and people management. Public administration is a very interdisciplinary career because to face public problems you have to know the various aspects that they may have. Secondly, the duration of the mayor is about 5 years (if you don´t fail your subjects). In these 5 years public administration students are studying the “management” at a theoretical level and are also analyzing how this management is in the country. Hello! To what time in the future would I like to travel? It´s a difficult question because I don´t like to think about the future. Actually, I prefer to face situations day by day. If I had to choose a time to travel in the future when I was a child, I would have chosen the day of my death. At that time, I would have liked to see the moment of my death because I wanted to be prepared for it. Then, I saw a movie called “Bedtime Stories” and the desire of travel to that moment disappeared! Because it happened to the main character and that only made the situation worse. At this moment I wouldn't like to travel to the future because it can influence the decisions I will make. For example, I imagine that there will be a voice in my mind telling me "Catalina don't do this because you already saw what is going to happen". Hello! Today I'm going to talk about my future job. It should be noted that my future job is related to my mayor: public administration. To begin with, when I decided to study my mayor I always thought that I would do field work in public institutions. By field work I mean relating myself to citizenship in state organizations. If I can't do field work it would be disappointing because I don't expect to spend the rest of my working life in an office. I know I'll have to do office work, but I´d like to work outdoor. I think leaving the office will help me not to separate myself from the reality that citizenship live. Secondly, I believe that in order not to separate myself from the everyday life of citizens, I can´t travel a lot in my work. I´d like to do it, but only exceptionally to contrast realities and return to my work with new ideas. Hello! Before pandemic I couldn´t say what my hobby was, but now I can. Spending a lot of time at home forced me to find things I enjoy doing. Even though I didn´t have a hobby, I used to say that  my “hobbies” were to watch movies or series on Netflix or to hang out with friends. However, those are things that I used to like to do, but not so much to be considered a hobby.  Now my hobbies are cooking and doing something that I called “to exist”. On the one hand, I realized I really enjoy cooking sweet and healthy recipes such as desserts, cakes, truffles, mousses among others. In fact, I enjoy doing this so much that I cook every week for my family, even when I´m very busy with my major. On the other hand,” to exist” is a state of mind in which you don´t think or do anything, you are simply lying down and just breathing. "To exist" gives me great peace of mind. Hi! Today I´m going to talk about climate change. First of all, I think it´s necessary define the concept to think about possible solutions. The climate change is an alteration in the planet´s climate attributed to HUMAN ACTIVITY. In short, human activity it´s the main reason for climate change.  Even so, I believe “human activity” is more related to INDUSTRIAL activity than to our daily activities. In fact, I think taking short showers, composting with organic waste aren´t useful to reverse the big crisis. What we can do is definitely negligible compared to all the damage caused by the industry. Because of that, I believe industry and politicians are the main actors who have to face the situation. On the one hand, industry has to reduce the pollution it causes. In the other hand, politicians should create mechanisms that regulate the levels of pollution and protect the environment. Hi! Today I´m going to talk about the best holidays I have ever had.  This experience was in Mexico when I was 15. With this in mind, I traveled with my mom and my little brother and not with my friends We went to Mexico for about 10 days. Therefore we had numerous days to visit many places! For example, we visited Chichen Itzá, a cenote and about 5 amusement and natural parks. Unlike parks in other countries, Mexico is the first place I visit that has this kind of park: two in one. Even so the entrance fees to the parks aren´t expensive. Secondly, there are many reasons why I loved that holidays. First, I enjoyed the tropical climate and the species it causes. Second, I traveled with the most important people in my life. I definitely always have a good time with them. To sum up, if you have the opportunity to visit Mexico, you have to visit the parks and go with your loved ones.  Take care!
